Originally founded in Chicago in the 1950s, by the late Frank A. Modelski, Sr., the Homer Glen location was established in 1993, and is owned, operated and managed by Frank's son,Richard,and his Grandson, James, who are both licensed funeral directors, assisted by Michael Hussey, who isalso a licensed funeral director.

Richard J. Modell is a creative, outside-of-the-box thinker, whose vision, ideas,ambition, determination and drive hassuccessfully ushered the business into the new millennium, providing contemporary services and modern technology, while still holding onto thevalues established by his late father in the 1950s...especially his commitment to treating every client or guest who walks through the doors as "family."

The recent remodeling, additions and renovations added additional space for services, plus a beautiful and highly functionalhospitality room for families who are grieving, as well as a community meeting room to serve the neighborhood asneeded.
