The University of Florida is amazing! The culture here is very "work hard, play hard." The classes are rigorous and the students are very ambitious and involved in many organizations. Greek Life and partying is also pretty big here. Sports are huge -- football and tailgating especially! The city itself (Gainesville, FL) is a small college town, which is really fun! Overall, I made the best decision coming to UF and highly recommend it!

UF offers so much opportunity to grow professionally no matter what field you are in. Besides its long-standing great reputation that already puts your name on the map, the university goes above and beyond for its colleges to have events such as career fairs to ensure that students have all the resources they need. I also admire the sustainability efforts that UF strives to achieve and the accomplishments they already have in having numerous LEED-certified buildings. I love how involved students are because it is a constant inspiration to get involved and make a difference on campus. I would like to see a change in DEI commitments, and less student fees for things like football games and on-campus concerts. I also would like more 24-7 hours for campus libraries or other study spaces. Campus transportation like SNAP should also be consistently improved upon.

UF has been an awesome experience! I’m a transfer student and have only had positive experiences with professors, advisors, and other students. There are so many ways to get involved and every person I’ve met has been incredibly nice.
